E: Bob Hope "Thanks For The Memories"

Connestion: Signature songs

Yeah, Bob Hope comes from the vaudeville/radio era, where most performers had a particular tune they were identified with, like Jack Benny with "Love In Bloom" or Bing Crosby and "The Blue of the Night". The song would always be played when they guest-starred on another radio show, or when they appeared on a talk show or some such.

Kit: Correct P&E; not the Connection we're looking for, but yours is a good one in its own right.

Andi - Bob Hope > Paris Hilton.

I don't know the connection, though.

Connection: "Over The Rainbow" won the Oscar for best song in 1940; "Thanks For The Memory" won in 1939.
