Flintstones, yes. Honeymooners, no. (Although yes, the Flintstones were an homage/ripoff of The Honeymooners.)

I don't believe The Honeymooners ever referenced an Israeli Defense Minister.

The erudite is definately a joke told to Sammy Davis, Jr., but I have no idea who told it or what the connection is. Someone go Google it.

Very true! It was indeed told to Sammy Davis Jr, on Laugh-In, by Judy Carne. SDjr is the important part for the Connection.

As always, I fall back on what I know, which may not be what you're going for, but both Allen Reed (Fred Flintstone's voice) and Sammy Davis Jr. were guest stars on the Adam West Batman.

The Connection search goes on...

The Hanna-Barbera 'Alice in Wonderland' (...again starring both Alan Reed and Sammy Davis Jr.)?

Ted Hobgood said...

Well, that's one I wasn't aware of...

Here's a hint: the Connection is a shared name.

I have no frigging idea, and Google is no help at all, but I did take a trip down memory lane when I found this: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0275070/

If you ask me, I will sing you the first line of the song. I still remember it (I was 8).

I didn't find a connection to the Flintstones, though.

Harvey Korman as The Mad Hatter? Sweet.

The Connection is between Fred Flintstone and Sammy Davis Jr.

And the answer is...they both hung out with Dino. Thank you, I'll be here all week.

Oh man! I was so close and I didn't even know it. When I was trying to remember who told the joke, Dean Martin was one of the possibilities. If only I had thought about it just a little bit longer.
