Wow. I just finally "got" what you've been doing all this time.

I wanna play now.

Welcome to the game, Nick! This grew out of something I've been doing at work for some time now, putting up a Pop Culture quote on an index card in a little frame on my desk. People are encouraged to come by and guess the origin of said quote. I try to keep it accessible to people of a wide range of ages and backgrounds, as long as they know about Popular Culture. This quote is on the blog as the Plebian. For the blog, I then come up with a harder quote, which gets labelled as the Erudite. Somewhere along the history of this game, we instituted the Connection, whereby the two quotes are related in some fashion. Readers of the blog are encouraged to identify any or all of the items; if a single person manages to get all three, they are addressed formally by their last name and awarded a cryptic "point" which nobody really keeps track of. Enjoy!
