Plebian:
"I'm a ba-a-a-a-ad boy!"
Erudite 1:
"But through it all, when there was doubt, I ate it up and spit it out."
Erudite 2:
"Oh, in the name of God! Now I know what it feels like to be God!"
(Each Erudite has its own individual Connection to the Plebian.)

Is the Plebian "I'm a ba-a-a-a-ad boy!" or "I'm a ba-a-a-a-ad man!"?
The latter would be Cassius Clay -- maybe the former is Jerry Lewis?
E1 is from My Way
I'll take a WAG at the connection and say it's the Rat Pack.
The Plebian would be the former, although I am reading a wonderful book on Ali right now, and he is indeed a bad man.
E1 is correct; the Connection is not.
My post was kind of a mess - was the P Jerry Lewis?
Not Jerry Lewis, no. Same general occupation as Lewis, though.
The P is Lou Costello. That's all I got, folks.
Lisa is quite correct.
If Kit reads this, he'll get E2 right away, I'm sure.
E2: The 1930's Frankenstein
C2: Abbott and Costello hooked up with Frank at some point.
C1: Speculation about Frank Sinatra's mob connections involved some dude named Costello.
E2 and C2 are correct.
The Connection between Frank Sinatra and Lou Costello is that both share the same first name: Francis.
